Information we use
When you sign in or enrol, we use your email address and an account identifier to confirm your identity and link your purchase to your course. We keep purchase references and payment status, lesson progress, practice answers, saved notes, exam attempts and results so you can return to your studies.
If you request a certificate, we also use the name you enter, your completion date and your certificate number. Support messages contain the information you choose to send us. Please avoid sending card numbers, passwords or sign-in codes.
Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and error logs to deliver the site, prevent misuse and investigate problems.
Payments and course messages
Stripe handles payment entry and processing. We store the order references and payment status needed to provide access; the academy does not receive or store your full card number or security code.
We use your email for sign-in codes, receipts, requested certificate delivery and replies about your account or course. Enrolling does not automatically subscribe you to a separate marketing mailing list.
Optional analytics and your choice
When enabled and you choose “Allow analytics”, Google Analytics helps us understand public-page visits, course views, checkout starts and confirmed purchases. It can use a browser identifier, device information and campaign labels to show which channels bring people to the course.
Analytics loads only after your choice to allow it. We do not send your name, email address, sign-in codes, saved study notes, exam answers or card details in our analytics events. Purchase events use a pseudonymous transaction reference, the course name, currency and amount. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration.
We remember your analytics choice for up to six months on that browser. You can change it at any time using “Privacy choices” in the footer. Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect your course access. Withdrawing stops future analytics events and removes the Google Analytics cookies that this site can clear; it does not automatically erase data already processed by Google.
Essential account storage and the storage used to save your course work are separate from optional analytics. The site also uses browser storage to remember privacy choices and, when analytics is allowed, avoid recording the same purchase repeatedly.
Service providers and overseas processing
We use service providers to operate the academy, including Stripe for payments, Supabase for sign-in, Resend for requested certificate emails, Sites and its hosting infrastructure for the website and course records, and Google Analytics for optional measurement. These providers receive the information needed for their role.
Some providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Processing locations depend on the provider and service involved. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where needed to meet a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request or protect accounts and the service.
Keeping and protecting records
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide course access, maintain completion records, respond to support requests, resolve disputes and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Access controls protect student records, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Closing an account or withdrawing analytics consent may not require every transaction or completion record to be deleted immediately. We will explain any records that need to be retained when handling your request.
Access, corrections and concerns
To ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email hello@pokeredgeacademy.com. We may need to confirm that the account belongs to you before sharing or changing records.
